Robert MacLaren, PharmD, BSc (Pharm), FCCM, FCCP, is Associate Professor at the School of Pharmacy, University of Colorado and Critical Care Pharmacy Specialist at the University of Colorado Hospital, both in Aurora.

Dr. MacLaren received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of British Colombia College of Pharmacy in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Dr. MacLaren received his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Utah College of Pharmacy in Salt Lake City. He completed his Critical Care Residency at the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy/Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.

Dr. MacLaren is a fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy and the American Society of Critical Care Medicine. He has received numerous awards, including a presidential citation from the Society of Critical Care Medicine.

Dr. MacLaren is on the editorial Board for Pharmacotherapy and a Journal Referee for many publications, including Critical Care Medicine, Intensive Care Medicine, and American Journal of Health-System Pharmacy. In addition to his professional and committee activities, he is also highly regarded for his publications in book chapters and abstracts.
